Response to Lecture

This week’s guest speaker was a graphic designer who spoke about the artist's studio.  He made very interesting points about how studio space gives so much to an artist.  Ironically, you'd think this presentation would be coming from a painter or sculptor but no- a graphic designer.  This is extremely fitting to Foundation's Computers because computers are the tools we are using.  The speaker stated, however, that his computer is not his studio but is a tool or a layer of it- a tool that allows him to create.  He said that once an artist relies on the computer to do the thinking the artist has lost their voice.
Overall, I enjoyed this week’s lecture and felt the speaker’s humor kept me awake and attentive through out his presentation.
